The focus of Maritime Discipleship is Jesus Christ. He was born over 2000 years ago, died on a cross and was resurrected so that humanity could once again have intimate relationship with God. As much as we love the sea and sailing, our heart is not to just teach sailing but rather use that environment to evangelize, train & disciple those He sacrificed so much for. As believers, His heart and passion is ours and the foundation of our core values.

  1. Sail training and shipboard life provide an excellent context for experiential education and character development.  New skills are learned, practiced and applied in real life situations, often with immediate consequences.

  1. Discipleship within a nurturing environment of support is central to spiritual growth. Christianity is a lifestyle, not a religion.  A personal relationship with Jesus leads to a changed life.

  1. Adventure education inherently involves controlled risk.  Used wisely and with safety as an essential element, it is a catalyst for personal growth and development. True adventure is found in a life surrendered to Jesus and serving others.

  1. A desire to fulfill the Great Commission by spreading the Gospel and making disciples are the natural results of a heart surrendered to God. Every individual is uniquely created and called by God with gifts and talents to be used to further His Kingdom.

  1. Christ is our model for servant leadership. Living a life of godly influence and serving others is a tangible expression of this truth.

  1. Service through world missions is a tangible expression of beleivers surrendered to the Lordship of Christ, develop spiritual fruit and who minister in the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
